Sylvestrus owner becomes Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Foresters
Posted on
Chartered Forester Dietrich Pannwitz of Sylvestrus Ltd. moved from Berlin to Scotland in 1991, to become a farmer.
Having worked on farms in the North, a chance encounter at a Crofter Forestry Seminar brought him in contact with FICFor W.J. Ian Ross, then senior lecturer at the Scottish School of Forestry.
After completion of his training and gaining a BSc in Forestry & Conservation with distinction, he worked for other forestry companies before setting up Sylvestrus Ltd. in 2004.
Chartered since 2002 the achievement of Fellowship of the ICF has been the pinnacle of his academic and forestry career.
This could only have be achieved with the assistance of his clients, advice from fellow foresters, contractors as well as support from his partner Lisa and their son Kai.
Many times you will see Dietrich with his dog Raven walking the hills and woods of the Highlands and keeping everybody in good humour with some cheerful whistling and thoughts.
